Young Named AJHL Player of the Month

Leduc's Justin Young has been named the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for December.  In 7 games played through December, Young scored 6 goals and 9 assists for 15 points for the Whitecourt Wolverines. 

Justin Young recorded six multi-point games in December.  On December 11th, he scored the game winning goal in a win over the Lloydminster Bobcats.  He was selected as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game on December 17th with a 4-point game in a victory over the Sherwood Park Crusaders. 

Young, 19, leads the Wolverines in scoring with 49 points (20G, 29A) and is averaging 1.3 points per game.  He is third overall in the AJHL Scoring Race and has scored the third most game winning goals with 4.  Young is in his third full AJHL season with the Wolverines.

Justin Young who played for the LJAC Oil Kings in Bantam and Midget has committed to the University of Alaska Fairbanks for the 2017-18 season.
