Players that are released from their first AAA tryout, have an opportunity to receive a second tryout from a different organization. The second tryout is to be arranged by the player who was released, and the form below must be completed once the second tryout has been agreed upon. https://www.hockeyalberta.ca/male-elite-waiver-form/. If you wish to attend the AA tryout process. Please contact the following AA draw zone contacts listed below.
The first 3 tryout dates for U18AAA & U17AAA will commence on the following days: August 30, August 31 & September 1st. Times and rosters will be posted on www.ljac.ca and all social media platforms on or before August 27. Please note that U17 players will attend the U18 tryouts before attending the U17 tryouts. U17 Tryouts will begin on September 8th and tryout schedules for U17 will be posted on or before September 4th. LJAC does not have a limitation on how many players we allow for tryouts. U18AAA/U17AAA tryouts are open to any and all players that reside in the Leduc Junior Athletic Club Elite Draw Zone. If you are away at Junior Camps please make sure to reach out to the U18AAA Head Coach Cody Leeming and U17AAA Head Coach Eric Webb. Please be advised, that being away from U18AAA or U17AAA Tryouts to attend junior camps will not affect your tryout opportunity within LJAC.

If you were released from the tryout process and you are interested in another AAA tryout
- 16-year-olds (U18 age division): If you are a 16-year-old player released from your initial U18 AAA tryout, you are permitted to arrange one
- additional U18 AAA tryout.
- If another Elite Draw Zone/Team agrees to accept you for a second U18 AAA tryout, you must complete the Elite Male Waiver form and have both the releasing and receiving association sign approve the tryout. The releasing association cannot refuse a second tryout.
- If you are released from the second U18 AAA tryout, you must proceed to U17 AAA or U18 AA tryouts or tiered hockey.
- 16-year-olds (U17 age division): If you are a 16-year-old player and released from your initial U17 AAA tryout, you are permitted to arrange one (1) additional U17 AAA tryout.
- If another Elite Draw Zone/Team agrees to accept you for a second U17 AAA tryout, you must complete the Elite Male Waiver form and have both the releasing and receiving association approve the tryout. The releasing association cannot refuse a second tryout.
- If you are released from the second U17 AAA tryout, you must proceed to U18 AA tryouts or tiered hockey.
- 15-year-olds (U18 age division): If you are a 15-year-old player released from your initial U18 AAA tryout, you must proceed to U17 AAA in your resident Elite Draw Zone (or approved association if your Elite Player Movement application was approved).
